Be SUN-WISE. The Sun is the fundamental ingredient for many life forms through its light, warmth and radiant energy. The Sun stimulates the mind and the body, it provides a sense of inner peace and well-being that both energizes and comforts us. Regular exposure to sunlight can strengthen bones, regulate blood-pressure and keep skin, hair and nails healthy while helping to reduce stress and tension. Follow the recommended schedule or your Skin Type. If you are unsure of your Skin Type, ask a "Cove Girl" to help you.
HOW DO WE TAN? The Sun creates UV Light which is responsible for tanning. UVA and UVB are the two categories for Tanning indoors. UVA's main role in the Tanning process is oxidizing melanin which is the browning pigment of the skin. UVB triggers melanin production by penetrating deeper into the layer of the skin for a longer lasting tan. Both UVA and UVB are needed during the Tanning process to produce a bronzed tan. Over exposure to Sun-light indoors or outdoors can cause serious damage to the skin we encourage you to take precautions when tanning and do it in moderation while using proper skin care.
